OptiLeaves Mod changes leaves so they are rendered much like glass is. Leave block sides are not rendered if they are touching another block. This means it only has to render a fraction of what it used to. This really helps performance in areas with lots of leaves like jungles and forests. If you take a look, you’ll see how it appears more empty inside. Usually you won’t notice it unless you look right inside of it while playing, but it really helps Minecraft perform better.
